Hello Neighbors:

The Communications Committee of the Pine Glen Homeowners Association would like to welcome you to www.Pine-Glen.com, the official web site of the Pine Glen community.

Pine Glen annual meeting & Board of Directors Elections

Attention Homeowners,

It's that time of year again...

The annual Pine Glen homeowners meeting will be held on November 19th, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the Cooperstone Bldg 3632 Land O Lakes Blvd, on Rt 41.

It is imperative that you come to this VERY IMPORTANT meeting.  The HOA budget for next year will be rolled out and voted on.  Of particular concern is whether or not HOA fees will be raised, and if so, by how much.

In addition, your new HOA board will be elected by you as a community.

If there is any one meeting you need to attend it would be this one.  So mark your calendars; update your PDAs; or set reminders on your phone; whatever it is takes, please make time to be there.

A notification in the mail is forthcoming.

Why should I run for the Pine Glen Board of Directors?

  1. You like the way things are running in the community and want to see that continue
  2. You don't like the way things are running in the community and think you can do a better job
  3. You have experience on Boards or other Civic functions and would like to share your expertise
  4. You want to get involved to help your community and have time to do so
  5. Someone has to lead or the State will take over

Sincerely,

Mervin Arthurton
President, Pine Glen Homeowners' Association

News and Notes (updated 08/25/06):

  • 8/25/06 - Just wanted to let you know that my neighor was walking through the neighborhood and fortunately spotted a fire near the trees on the greenway. With the help of the house near it we formed a bucket bragade and were able to put it out. Please advise all to be responsible, to feel proud and grateful for our communitee and protect it. thank you...
  • 8/8/06 - Hi all:
Someone forced our front left-side gate open yesterday evening and it is stuck in the "open" position with a bent swing arm. It is going to cost the community hundreds of dollars to fix and repair.

    Thank You wonderful person!
    • Did anyone witness this form of vandalism being done to our gate and why?
    • We the board are open to suggestions and one of them is not to take the gates down.

  • 8/4/06 - Hello all:

I am writing to draw your attention to a matter of great concern in our Pine Glen community. Homeowners have pledged to support a “Neighborhood Watch Program” in the Pine Glen community. However, no one has stepped up to spearhead this effort. We need people and processes!

I am sure the recent break-ins to automobiles is of concern to all.  I hope Pine Glen residents will consider in offering a little bit of their time and join others in supporting this effort to this most immediate invasion of personal property and privacy by taking the initiative to “spear-head" and start the watch program soon.

Please e-mail to me your name, telephone number and your level of interest at your earliest convenience.  Let’s not wait until other incidents occurs.

    Regards,

    Derek Lloyd

  • 7/19/06 - Dear Pine Glen Residents,

The Board of Directors is very concerned with the recent break-ins to automobiles as I'm sure you are.  These incidents have been reported to the Pasco County Sheriff's department.  In addition, we will re-look at obtaining a contract with the Sheriff's department to patrol our community.  However, this may mean that we would have to compromise on some things since we're a private community (i.e. leaving the gate open).

In the mean time, I would ask the community to start an informal community watch program.  If you see any suspicious automobiles or individuals, please keep an eye on them and report them to the police if you feel appropriate.  It would probably be helpful to write down their license number if possible.  I would also ask the several police officers in our community to just drive their patrol cars around occasionally as you come in or out of the development.  I'm sure your presence will be helpful.  If anyone has any other ideas, please let us know.

Thanks for your help in this serious matter.  We will continue to see if there are other actions that can be taken.

Sincerely, Peter Castellani, President - Pine Glen HOA
